Atron Gregory—a mild-mannered college grad with one degree in business and four on his karate black belt—got his start in the music business as a road manager for N.W.A. After returning to the Bay Area to start a label, TNT Records, he signed Oakland-based Digital Underground, would do so well independently that it got picked up by Tommy Boy Records and went on to Platinum triumph. But Gregory’s adoption of a young rapper from across the Bay would turn out to be momentous.A community activist named Leila Steinberg first brought 19-year-old Tupac Shakur to Gregory’s attention. Gregory paired Shakur with Digital Underground as a dancer at first, then promoting him to MC. When Gregory decided it was time to shop Shakur as a solo artist, he had few takers. Tommy Boy wasn’t interested. But in 1991 he eventually found enthusiastic ears in Tom Whalley and Ted Field, who were starting Field’s new label, Interscope Records.Though Jimmy Iovine and Suge Knight eventually moved Gregory out of the picture by taking advantage of Shakur’s insecurities and dangling beats from Dr. Dre as bait, Atron Gregory deserves everlasting credit for bringing to the world the man who became a global icon of both genre and generation.

Bloodstone is an American R&B, soul, and funk group, most popular in the 1970s and early 1980s. The band charted thirteen songs between 1973 and 1984. Formed in 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, the group was a high school doo-wop group called The Sinceres. In 1967-68 they were backed by and toured with a large Kansas City horn band known as the Smokin' Emeralds and performed their version of a Motown-style review which drew large crowds at a venue called the Place in the Westport district of KC. By 1971, the band consisted of Melvin Webb on drums, Roger Durham on percussion, Charles Love on guitar and vocals (born Charles Dee Love, Jr., April 18, 1945, Salina, Kansas, died March 6, 2014, Kansas City, Missouri),Charles McCormick on bass, Harry Williams on percussion, and Willis Draffen on guitar. After learning to play their respective musical instruments, moved to Los Angeles, California. After arriving in Los Angeles, the group met their prospective managers George Braunstein and Ron Hamady. They also replaced their drummer Melvin Webb with Eddie Summers, a resident of Los Angeles, California. The managers decided to change their name from The Sinceres to Bloodstone. Later the group traveled to London, England where they achieved a recording contract with Decca Records. The original members were Charles McCormick, Willis Draffen, Jr., Charles Love, Harry Williams, Roger Durham and Eddie Summers. The first album was entitled Bloodstone, whereas there were two singles released simultaneously called, "That's The Way We Make Our Music", and "Girl (You Look So Fine)", written and arranged by Eddie Summers the newest member. Their second album, Natural High reached the US R&B Top 10. The album was written by various members of the group Bloodstone, with their single "Natural High" reaching number 10 on the Pop chart. It received blanket airplay in Europe, particularly on Radio Luxembourg. It reached number 40 on the UK chart in August 1973 and was featured in the Decca "World Of Hits" series of compilation albums.
Bloodstone's other hits include, "Never Let You Go", "Outside Woman" and "My Little Lady". Bloodstone was instrumental in the "black rock" and funk movement of the 1970s, and even had a hand in the brown-eyed soul movement with some Latin music-tinged hits. Bloodstone performed with Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Elton John, and The Impressions. Their 1973 album Natural High, produced by Mike Vernon, sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the R.I.A.A. in July that year. They achieved a moderate comeback in the early 1980s with McCormick replacement Ron Wilson. Their album We Go a Long Way Back (1982), whose title track reached the R&B chart Top 5, also produced a follow-up single "Go On and Cry" that reached number 18. The group continued to record into the mid 1980s. They continue to tour and perform to this day with original members Charles McCormick, Charles Love, Harry Williams and newer member Donald Brown. Bloodstone also starred in and wrote all the music for a film entitled Train Ride To Hollywood (1975). Founding members Willis Draffen died on February 8, 2002 at the age of 56, and Charles Love died on March 6, 2014 at the age of 68. Love died from complications of pneumonia and had been battling emphysema for several years.

Durron Maurice Butler (born April 30, 1967)[1] known as Turbo B, is an American musician, rapper and beatboxer, best known for his time fronting the electronic music group, Snap!. After completing a period of service with the United States Army in Germany, Butler went on tour with The Fat Boys. He was soon discovered by the managers of Snap!, and contributed to the albums World Power and The Madman's Return and their respective number one hits, "The Power" and "Rhythm Is a Dancer". After leaving the group, Butler pursued a solo career and also formed the group Centory, which has several minor hits. Butler is known to tour with other artists who were prominent in the 1990s. He has since contributed as to singles by artists including Victoria Silvstedt, H-Blockx and Master Blaster.Success with Snap![edit]
"The Power" became a major international hit, and Butler became recognisable as the frontman of the group. To promote the record he toured widely with Snap!, rapping his lyrics and also playing drums.
With the release of Snap!'s second album, Butler wanted the first single to be "Color of Love". "Rhythm Is a Dancer" was planned to be the first single, however he reportedly hated the song, especially his now infamous line "I'm serious as cancer when I say rhythm is a dancer".[4] In December 1991 he got his wish but "Color of Love" went fairly unnoticed in the UK and US charts. Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti then insisted on releasing "Rhythm Is a Dancer" as the second single. It became the group's second major international hit. Butler left Snap! shortly after due to growing dissent with the group and its managers.[5]
In 2000 Snap! and Turbo B rejoined for a comeback, and released the single "Gimme a Thrill". The single failed to chart and their planned upcoming album One Day on Earth was subsequently never released.

Danny Boy [singer/performer/actor/host] originally signed for a five-year run with Death Row Records by Suge Knight at the age of 15. He made his debut on 1994's Murder Was the Case soundtrack with the R&B track "Come When I Call" (produced by DJ Quik). In 1995, he released his first single titled "Slip N Slide" (produced by Reggie Moore and co-produced by DeVante Swing) with then-unknown artist Ginuwine singing the chorus. The video for the song was shot in Cabo, and also features scenes with 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, and Tha Dogg Pound. Danny is best known for singing the choruses of the 2Pac songs "I Ain't Mad at Cha", "What'z Ya Phone #", "Picture Me Rollin'" and "Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find" on All Eyez on Me, as well as "Toss It Up" on The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. He had recorded several albums' worth of music while on Death Row Records, but none were released during his time there.
Danny Boy also made an appearance on Tha Row's soundtrack to Eddie Griffin's Dysfunktional Family and also appeared on American Idol, but was disqualified due to continued Internet promotion by his former label. He is currently working on some projects for his own label, Eclectic Soul Music Group, and resides in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. On April 20, 2010, Death Row Records, under new management, finally released Danny Boy's 1996 debut album It's About Time featuring production by DJ Quik and DeVante Swing.

Charis Henry!! Charis was a close friend of 2pac and his family. She was also the executive assistant of the late legendary Eric Eazy-E Wright. Charis appeared in Dr Dre’s "The Car Bomb (Skit)" featuring Mel-Man from the album "2001". She is now the CEO of her own company CiW2 Inc. "When Tupac and I met, he was fresh from the Bay still living there. He was having trouble up in Richmond because people thought he was responsible for a death of a kid at a concert he was performing at to benefit the community. My friend Tgia was house sitting at a friends house for the summer on the beach in Malibu. I invited Pac to come stay with us for a few weeks to get away from the madness. Come to L.A, come stay with us I told him. We have a huge house 3 floors…shit you can even have your own floor. He came and he came wearing ALL THOSE RINGS, EVERY finger had a ring on it. Diamond mind you etc. It was the tackiest shit I’d ever saw. Lol I explained to him you only need a couple maybe one on each finger. If that. His explanation was...he had grown up poor never had nothing. When people had gold nugget ringz he had silver or nothing. He said when he got some money he wanted people to know he had it. I told him they' ll know. Just keep it one to two rings at a time. Switch them up and theyll know. He looked at me and said. Youre fly. I trust what you say. (Big Smile). There are so many memories that i could share and will when i sit down and slow down to write my book . I love you Tupac. You and God knows. Man i miss you. Im writng this with tears in my eyes. I truly miss you.!!! Damn!! This wasnt an encounter. This was my real friend my brother my heart my road dog . I was his mentor, his go to girl for advice for business decisions , life and sometimes street ones. Our bond is a lifetime....until then." - Charis Henry Live
Greg Kading (born May 1, 1963) is a Canadian-American author and former Los Angeles Police Department detective best known for working on a multi law-enforcement task force that investigated the murders of rap stars Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls in the mid-2000s.. In February 2021, Kading was featured in the Netflix docu-series Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel that covers the death of Elisa Lam.. In September 2011, he self-published the book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of the Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations. In it, he included new evidence in the rappers' murders that he said implicated entertainment mogul Sean Combs and CEO of Death Row Records, Suge Knight. The release prompted what MediaBistro.com called "a new round of explosive media coverage about the unsolved killings".
Combs responded to the allegation by telling Los Angeles local reporters in emails that "this story is pure fiction and completely ridiculous". Knight has not addressed the claim. Lil' Cease, a rapper and childhood friend of Smalls, told radio host Sway Calloway on the "Sway in the Morning"-show that he didn't believe Combs had ordered Shakur's shooting as Kading alleged in his book.
In response to Combs's denial of the claims, Kading said on the All-out-Attack-Podcast with Harry Robinson that Combs needs to "let the people have what they deserve, and what they deserve is the truth".
The book also details what Kading described as the behind-the-scenes failure by the LVMPD and LAPD to arrest Shakur's and Wallace's killers. The families of Shakur and Wallace have not responded to the allegations. Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and Biggie' - played by Josh Duhamel
